Whenever I see a post about water getting into a watch I always see people asking about the crown and whether or not is was screwed on and it has me thinking...How common is it to not screw the crown in? I always have mine screwed on. When I unscrew it to set I always immediately screw it back on. Does anyone not do this? Are the cases of not having the crown screwed on because it is common to leave it unscrewed unless it is needed (e.g. to swim) in order to save wear and tear? Or do some people
I have a propensity to scratch the hell out of watch bracelets. I have a desk job and take it off when I use my keyboard. Already, since Sunday, I have noticed a few light scratches on the clasp. *eeek*I do know that I could take my SMP back to my jeweller and have them "refinish" or "buff-out" the wears and tears from time to time, but a timepiece of this magnitude ($$$) seems to me that one would be overly cautious not to damage it in any way, shape or form. Are you all extremely cautious
