Hi,In the new edition of Forbes Life magazine, they have an awesome article that discusses why some automatic watches cost $500 and others cost $50,000. They attributed the difference in price to the amount of finishing effort on the movement. In fact, they categorize watches by Basic Finish, Machine Finish, and Hand Finish. The most expense watches do hand finishing on the movement.Does anyone know the type of finishing effort on Hamilton watches?
My Lyndon chronograph is now on my wrist. Here are a couple of photos. I switched bands as the band that came with it was a little too long and had a deployment claspboth are now up for sale. From past posts it appears Lyndon (his name on the package and the watch) tried to go into the watch biz by buying parts from around the world (the caliber is a Asian Valjoux 7750) and the other parts are probably Asian as well. It appears his biz did not take off and he is selling off his inventory at
