This may have already been covered at some point but, if so, I am going to ask again. Why would a jeweler have housed a Hamilton movement in a third party, non-model specific case? I could maybe see if it were a Tiffany or high end case with jewel faceting or something. I could also see if an original case became damaged and the owner wanted to re-house the movement in a new case. But, I recently purchased a Hamilton movement in a generic 10YGF case, basically for the movement, as the auction
