This just arrived about a week ago, and having never owned a mechanical timepiece myself I thought it would be best to ask the "experts" before I pass judgement myself.A picture is worth a thousand words~(Sorry for the poor picture)I can never seem to get the day/date to set correctly. I read recently that using lighter fuel, i.e light grade petrol is acceptable when cleaning watch movements.Question: Will it have an adverse affect on the shellac used to insulate the coils in quartz watches or are you supposed to dismantle the movement first? ThanksBrew
