I got this as a present from my grandparents - apparently it belonged to my great-grandfather who died before my father was born (1954).The watch has to be wound up by hand and the strap isn't original - anybody got an idea what model / year it is?I don't know how to open the back cover and wouldn't want to damage the watch so I can't look up the serial number...thanks for your help
I purchased this watch from a collector about 10 yrs ago. I am thinking of having it cleaned up a bit and maybe selling it. Can anyone help with ID'ing it for me? After a couple hours too many on-line, I haven't found any matching dials. I know its circa '50's and may be military issue? I haven't taken the back off. (A little scared of causing damage). But I will if that's required. Thanks!
