I work with a guy who bought a DateJust when he graduated college 32 years ago. He wears it almost everyday. It runs and looks great. A small crack in the crystal is all. I asked him how often he gets it serviced. He said 5 years after he bought the watch the AD serviced it for $350.00. That was it. It hasn't been serviced in 27 years! It runs great. If that is a testament to how all Rolex's are made, I'm impressed!
OH MY GOD! I was putting a suitcase in the attic and I put a GIANT scratch on the clasp of my (gulp) *new* SMP! So, what should I do? I've heard people talk about steel wool and the like, but I think I'd rather take a more pay-a-professional-to-buff-it-out-for-me sort of approach. Is this something anyone has experience with? How much should it cost me? Will it be noticeable?Thanks in advance for advice.
