Hi,This is my first post. I've poked around the posts and can't find an answer.I've been looking at all the great old 50's and 60's gold watches on eBay. They are going for very reasonable prices.But most the older watch faces are quite tarnished or discolored after the years.Can an old dial face be cleaned? Or does it need to be re-finished?Here's an example of a great 50's look Five Star Admiral.Thanks for any suggestions.Russ
My Black monster stopped over the weekend, as i wear another watch on Sat & Sun. While trying to set the date and time, the second hand would move in the direction of the other hands....(i.e) if i was going backwards in time, the second hand would start sweeping backwards as well. And i noticed it was hard to get it going. I turned it a few times and nothing. But as soon as i pulled the crown out and moved the hour hand......it started right up. I just picked up this monster.....is it defect
