gentlemen, i'm posting this request on behalf a friend. He has a 1973 untra chron watch which belonged to his father. The watch is a sweeping hand and date model and looks to be either 9 or 18 carrat gold plated (not hallmarked). It has been in a box for over 20 years and the watch starts up when handled but appears to have been overwound at some point. I am pretty much in shock ! ! ! !It does in FACT exist ! ! ! ! ! !A BLUE NUMERAL ELGIN TRENCH WATCH ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !I had a feeling that Elgin may have made this dial but I have NEVER seen one, even a picture of one for that matter.Blue numeral dials were popular with Swiss Trench Watches but even those are EXTREMELY difficult to come by these days.It was in pretty bad condition upon arrival, neglected for MANY years, rusted, seized up, dirty, wrong parts and so on...........
