Just finished cleaning up this Lord Elgin Stratford.The case, luckily has no brassing. I've seen a lot of them, brassed on the raised edges. The original JB Champion band, has a bit of brassing on the raised parts on the bottom, which seems impossible to avoid if it was worn. Overall, though, it is shiny and looks good enough for me.The dial has a bit of patina, but is in nice shape as well. All I need is the crystal that Veritas123 was nice enough find for me.Just a little interesting tidb
I'm not seeking sympathy from my friends here at WTF, but rather I just want to vent some thoughts or whatever.
