When considering the purchase of a solid gold vintage Hamilton (or any watch), do you factor in where gold pricing is to determine what you'll pay for it? The reason I ask is that Bryan had an outstanding 14K green gold Cushion Form with the exploding dial for sale recently. I thought seriously of buying it and then selling one or two of my gold filled versions. After checking my spreadsheet for the average price, I decided the asking price was too high compared to the average and let it go.
This was an impulse buy. The auction pic was a bit blurry and there was zero text in the listing. It looked interesting though, so I figured I'd gamble and hit the Buy-It-Now.It's a Swiss-made Philip "Caribbean" quartz, diver style, and looks to be from the 1970s or 1980s. I've looked far and wide on Google and various watch forums, but can find nothing about this era of Philip watches.
