Just curious what everyones professional opion is on frankenwatches? I was considering purchasing several same type hamiltons and using the best parts from each to make 1 watch. Is this procedure forbidden or fairly common, and also is there some sort of "numbers matching" system that collecters will tell you if they are an all original watch or is there no way knowing if this has ever occured to any watch???just curious, lots of questions and ideas floating around right now. So I posted a thread a few days ago to see if I can get some information on this Patek, some said it might be real some said it's fake.So I took it to a service center and had the watch opened up (amazing how the movement looks, makes a big impression) and it's a real Patek which makes me very happy. They told me the watch needs a service and told me they would get me the ref# and a full description and model history for around 1000pln (350usd). Is that a fair price?The gentleman at the service
