I have just joined and I thought I would say hi. I was originally looking for a Tag watch but I came across Hamilton and quite like the look of them. I live in the UK so they are fairly rare here, I have never seen one yet in a shop but from reading about them on the web I'm very interested. The model I really like is the Khaki ETO quartz chrono and will be having a look for one when we visit the states again this summer. We will be arriving at Newark NJ and then going to Massachusetts, Connectic
I have a friend at work from a former Soviet block country. After a recent visit home she returned with a pocket watch. It was rather dirty so I offered to clean it up. My skills are limited so I do not know how to remove the movement from the case. I would like to clean a few loose particles off the dial. Anyone have any thoughts? I removed the stem and case screws but the movement would not fall out. Here are a few pictures.
