Has anyone gone to an AD where they did not purchase their watch and ask for an appraisal? I realize typically most get it when they purchase the watch; but, if looking for a replacement, or update for insurance purposes.....just curious what the cost would be.
Since it's gone so quiet in here, I'll post my latest project arrival (Vendor's photos) - even though it is a work in progress, and you will see many many things wrong. All three hands are wrong. It is is very old redial, the case is a little worn on the lug tips, and the hairspring is kinda funky.Cleaned up the dial and case. Being an older redial, not sure if this dial is worth keeping - but it did clean up enough to be usable - it'll look OK with crystal and hands in place.Likewise, case h
