A while back I treated the new strap for the ChronoCockpit.It seems to work pretty well. Near the same time I got this, I put a new strap on the 1969 Constellation day/date.Granted, it's a slightly different type of leather. I did not treat the Connie and it gets sticky and uncomfortable. The Breitling is fine though in the same conditions. I will be putting a similar strap on the Corum when it comes back, so maybe I'll treat that and see how it holds up. I may even try treating the COnnie 
After three months my Elgin project is finally done! 1909 Elgin, size 0s, grade 377, HC, 15 jewels, G-S Curv-Tite Crystal, Brown Crocodile Band, Louis XIV hands, Royal Blue numerals and a fresh 14k gold plating.I just got the case back yesterday from the gold plating folks and put it all back together! Had them strip it down to the bone then re-plate in 14k gold including the original crown. I used a low number run (30,000) of an Elgin grade 377 15 jewel gilded movement, completely serviced. At
