Well, after a long anticipated wait, I finally got my new Hamilton X-Wind Black Dial today! This is how she arrived...Needless to say, the watch did not wind up. Must have been rattling around the whole trip in the box....So...Back it goes...Hopefully I will not have any problems with the return. Boy, I was so excited about getting this one...I already have a custom strap being made for it. I guess I will be looking for a new one again...
I have a mechanical citizen with see-through caseback I bought a couple of years ago. I'm not sure what the piece that "spins around" is called, so I'll call it a pendulum. The pendulum now has trouble spinning. It barely moves at all and this of course affects the watch's ability to to tell time.I was thinking that maybe I could open it up and lube the pendulum? Any recommendations on what type of lube I should use or if I should even bother with this in the first place? Thanks.
