There are a lot of posts on the web with guys always looking for a cheap alternative to the iconic Omega Speedmaster, many have went down the whole fake/replica route and these guys deserve no credit at all. There is another alternative and that is the homage route, it need not look the same but just give a few design cues to the original and offering Omega the credit they rightly deserve for a stunning watch. I had seen a photo of the Citizen AN5120-53E and this was to be my starting point but
