A coworker has a buddy into watches who's trying to generate some cash. He has an old Seamaster he wants to trade for my recent bumper. Is it legal for them to sell new watches at a 50-70 % discount and not give you the boxes and papers of these said watches? The reason behind it is they don't want you flipping the watches for profit. Do the different manufacturers allow the AD to do this kind of business practice? Will that have any effect on the warranty? Is that even legal? If I was buying a brand new watch even if its at a discount I would still want the box and papers or at least the papers. Any thoughts?
