I have a pocketwatch that was in my grandfathers watch shop when he passed away and I have been trying to learn more about it. I have been told the maker was Robert Hessel in Erfurt Germany. I have not been able to find any information on this person or any other samples of his work if this is true. This name and city is engraved inside the back cover of the watch. I assumed this was the owner...but someone said this is the watch maker. There are several other marks some I know are silver marks
