I am looking for advice related to buying a watch from Italy. If it were 200 or less, I wouldn't worry, but for a grand or so...I worry. Does anyone have a strategy to protect oneself from being ripped off in this situation?
I thought I'd do a 24 hour time test on a real Rolex date/just and a fake one I bought a couple years ago for $30 bucks on Canal St. The reason I thought I would do this is that the fake Rolex works correctly in every way and seems to keep good time. So I just wound them up and placed them face up for 24 hours.
