Help Identifying a Japanese Watch

A family member recently gave me a Japanese watch that was given to them by an old friend from that country. Unfortunately, all of the documentation and labeling on the watch is in Japanese and I've been unable to identify the maker of it. If anyone could provide me with a few clues on the origin of this watch, I'd appreciate it.Update: I was able to establish that this is a limited edition watch most likely produced by Seiko. It's part of a yearly series of commemorative watches intended to
