I don't know how it happened but yesterday I wound my PO and it started that click that indicates it fully wound really early...around 20 turns...it was dead since it was in a wall locker for two weeks. So when I now go to wind it since it is stopped it clicks right away and the second hand runs only for 3-4 seconds then stops....Any ideas? I thought from all the experience on this thread most say it cannot be overwound but....Anyone got the number for the Philly service center? It is just out
I bought this watch back in early 1980 when gold was at an all time high($849) for scrap. The case and dial were in decent shape, it ran, and came with a black round pocket protector case.I didn't have the heart to break it apart, and send it along to its certain death According to the serial #, it was made in 1925, 12s, 17j, model #3, 345 grade.
