Hi, I was hoping/wondering if someone may be able to identify a watch from a relative. It's Omega Automatic, circa 1953-1955, Gold (I believe Solid). Works fine, but no longer has the wristband, and needs some cleaning. What I've not seen in researching Omega varieties, is that while this watch has mostly notches for the hours, it does have a single numeral of the '12' hour...no 3, no 6, no 9...just 12. Can anyone help with identification? I can post a photo as well, when I get a chance.
I am in the market for one of the 50th Ann. models preferably the rose gold plated, but will settle for the yellow gold if I have to. Couple easy questions 1. How difficult is it to find one of the rose gold plated versions? I am aware of the issue/problem of rose gold edition boxes containing yellow gold watches, but are the rose gold ones out there readily available?2. Are there more than one version in yellow gold? I keep running into listings for "Gold tone...black face with diamond at 10:0
