This watch has been a grail of mine since I first laid eyes upon it about a year and a half ago. I never thought I would lust after a Japanese watch, but Seiko really opened my eyes with their beautiful craftsmanship and exceptional value. For those who don't know, the Alpinist line has a long lineage dating back to the 1950s, and has always been designed with the outdoorsman in mind. The SARB017 is the last-generation Alpinist, since replaced by some newer designs that I don't particularly c
