This is the latest Hamilton model in my collection, believe it or not (a Boulton from the previous year 1949 perhaps doesn't even count, since it's a holdover pre-War design and movement caliber). The Raymon was one of Hamilton's earliest stainless steel models (was there another before 1950 besides the Lexington? And the WWII production models of course, but many of those were chrome-plated, I think), although there were soon to be many in their line-up. Most were like this one, with applied 
Last year I enlisted a little help from a fellow member & Omega collector to help me search for one of my grails. I was not having much luck finding a solid gold Seamaster from the late 50's or early 60's. The reason was I didn't want another of the normal 55x (no date) or 56x (date at 3) calibers you see so many of. Not that they're bad - on the contrary, they are some of the best Omega ever made - but I have a 561 gold capped pie pan from 1961 so I wanted something out of the ordinary.
