Hello everyone,I have found that, in many auctions on eBay, there are a tremendous number of repainted dials, mangled movements, and fake cases. I think the hardest thing for the novice (including myself) is to know something about the movements. Are there some guidelines for learning about movements and detecting those that are not all that they seem to be?
Technically it's still Friday night in Chicago, but I know I will have this one on again tomorrow. It's a 1956 early Datejust ref. 6605 in 9K solid gold. It has a roulette (red-black) date wheel.
