I need help identifying an old waltham I found in my mom's possession. The only numbers I see on the movement are 4790 17 jewel. It is housed in a 14k solid gold avon case ladies wrist watch with 2 diamonds which looks art deco to me.
With my rotation, even with 80 hours of power reserve won't keep them running between wearing a. Orbita's database says a winder should be set for CCW, 800 turns per day. Assuming this is accurate, would it make a difference if my winder's closest setting is 864 turns per day? Would it be a good idea to let them sit for a day or so before putting them on a winder? Should I just forget about the winder and set it and give it 20 or so winds when I put one on my wrist? Thanks , Scott
