I have finaly decided that the LLD will be the watch to start off my collection! I am having a hard time deciding between the date and no date versions. I have heard directly from an AD that the no date version will have better re-sale value (due to the availability), but I am not interested in re-selling. If you dismiss the intangibles, how much better is a fine Swiss watch than say an Alpha or an Orient? Don't get me wrong, I value the intangibles and would have a few IWC, PP and VC, but can't justify spending as much on a few watches as on our Jeep.I have one Alpha that I don't think is a copy/homage of anything but haven't had it long enough to know what it will do in the long run.
