After about 2 months of Milgauss GV fun I've decided I cannot live without the date any longer on my daily wear watch. I'll still keep the Milly for a fun evening out or a dressy event. My first Rolex (now 12 years old) the Explorer II is being pulled from moth balls. This watch is incredible and to this day runs consistently at +/- 0 per day. I just checked it on a 2 day test after pulling it back out. That said, it is dry - or worse perhaps some water had gotten in. I can hear the rotor 
I recently purchased an IWC Automatic "DeLuxe". I have found references to this watch in old IWC brochures and it appears to be very similar to the 1950's Ingeneur but without the anti-magnetic treatment. If you own one of these models or have any info on it I would be very grateful. THe watch I purchased is 18K yellow gold with a gold dial.
