I've had 4 speedmasters now.well 5 counting a replica. 2 Autos and 2 pro's. I buy one, then think it just looks like an older watch. The autos are too small and look like watches I owned when I was a kid. They have a plastic crystal (What is Hesalite?) and the ones I've had frankly keep ok time but compared to some autos and Quartz watches, fairly ordinary.....In fact the replica kept as good time and apart from the feel of the thing, really wasn't much different, well not $3000 bucks different 
I've wanted one for a while. In fact when I bought a new rolex a year ago I nearly bought one but I needed an everyday watch for work and I'm afraid rolex have always been my choice for that, I never take them off.However I'd always had datejusts which multi task nicely, but now I have a sub as I can see the hands without my reading glasses. I think the chunkyness of the sub has kept me wanting something rather more elegant and almost a year to the day after buying the sub I bought this.Funnily
