The watch looked good but the casing was way to . It looked like a females watch or somthing i would have worn as a 12 year old. I am over 6'3. Had to return the watch Hope this helps to any taller, larger men.

any thoghts--Gladiator watch

Looking at a vintage 'Gladiator' wrist watch. Always wanted a 'doctor's dial'but they are usally to high for me. this one has a mechanical 17 Jewl swiss mvtbut needs dial and case refinishing-I can probably get it for relatively cheapcompared to the Longines Admiral doctor's dial I missed out on (it went for 1200also missed a waltham which went for 100and needed the same king of restoration). Simple ?: Day/Date, or Date only?

For me, I just have to have both. I just have to have day/date watches. I am not comfortable not having the day function. There are days where I literally wake up and forget what day it is...yet my trusty watch is right there for me giving me the heads up. Forget the paper calendar, I prefer it on my wrist.
