Hi. I am looking for a place in NYC/Northern NJ area where I can send my Aquatimer in for a small service, polishing the case. I had Tourneau sent it back to IWC for an estimate. It came out to $1400. They told me it's because the watch requires a service, and they wouldn't do anything else unless I agree to it (watch is 4 years old and running perfect). I declined the estimate and got it back from Tourneau. Anyone had any experience similar to this? I found a IWC repair center in Brooklyn NY on
My current collection consists of two IWC watches, both obtained in 2007. The St Ex Chrono was the first on March 16 and at Christmas morning I got the Portuguese Automatic.I love them both and for now, I feel no urgent need to add another watch.
