The elderly owner of a small town jewelry store died and his 90 year old sister undertook to sell the remaining stock. I bought 2 never sold quartz Bulovas, one a 1980 model and the other a 1981 model. If I open them to see if the batteries have leaked, will they still be NOS? If I put new batteries in them to see if they will run will they still be NOS? I suspect that it doesn't make a lot of difference but I really don't need them in the rotation and would like to be able to say that they are 
Any one had any experience with their winders? I'm rather intrigued by the baroque santos rosewood and would like to know if there has been any issues with this brand. Thanks!
