The USPS brought me a present today - this Elgin 761 auto, complete with its case . I had the seller take a photo with the caseback off, so I know it's a 761 movement inside. The dial, which appears to have some sort of luminous material on the numbers and part of the hands, doesn't look like the typical 760 or 761 dial. No "db" and no "American Made"/"Made in America". Greetings Everyone...My new, 1st modern Hamilton arrived yesterday! It is a Khaki Mechanical. A very simple plan watch powered by a ETA 2804-2 wind up!So far it is + 7 seconds for 24 hrs...I do not think that is too bad! I suspect it will "settle down" after a period of time. The watch appears very well made. The strap feels good on wrist, may get a light brown leather strap later on.BTW.. I have a Jazzmaster Viewmatic on the way!
