I picked up this pocket watch at an antique store yesterday while traveling in Austin Texas. Of late I have become interested in vintage pocket watches and this looked interesting when I saw it in the store. Unfortunately, my knowledge of watches is very limitedIt is not working and the movement seems to be in rough shape. I am hoping I might be able to get it repaired when I get back home.I have been trying to find some information on this watch through google searches with no luck at all. 
One of the complications I enjoy most is the Big Date, which became widely available in quartz about three years ago. From memory, the first quartz version was developed by Ronda and used in an Invicta.I've always lusted after a mechanical version of the Big Date. If I had one, I'd actually set the dates on the watch.As many of you know, I never bother to set my dates since I change timepieces on a daily basis. And as I age, the dates become too small anyway.Do you like the Big Date?
