You guys have been so helpful, and I was thinking about returning this eBay purchase that just showed up today. It's from 1927, and the pictures on the auction didn't show the wear-through on some of the bottom edges of the gold-filled case (at least, I missed it). I haven't been able to locate any pictures of a watch like this from this vintage; it has the 986A movement and is not a cushion.. all the examples I've seen are cushion or not round.
