Although the answer should be obvious that you match your buckle color to your case, and I have done that with all my watches.And I know this is just a matter of personal taste, but what about matching the buckle to the strap and not the case.So this would be in instances of black or charcoal watch straps where you have a black PVD/DLC buckle but your case is not, such as SS, tungsten even bronze.I have tried this but I am not sold on the idea, but it sure would open up some idea's for my black 
I am pondering over the thought of whether to buy Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra Chronometer (Caliber Omega 8500). It is a new model in 2009 if I am not wrong.
