Hello everyone, My father passed recently, and I inherited this gold Longines watch. It was given to my great-grandfather for his service with Esco. The date on the engraving is 1947. I did some searches for this make and model, but could not find one that was it. I know the community here probably sees this as an easy mystery to solve, but I am stumped. I recently purchased my first Patek, a Calatrava 5127J, at the official boutique in Tokyo (late April 2013). Upon delivery, I was rather surprised to find that the movement was the 315/290, rather than the 324 SC. The dealer said he had taken delivery of the watch only last year (2012), so it hadn't been in stock that long. However, so far as I can tell, production of the 315 caliber was phased out as long ago as 2008, and the 324 SC was being installed in many Patek models from around 2005-6. D
