I thought I would report on my initial thoughts on my recent purchase of the 009 and maybe get more info on the differences with the Orange Monster - and Seiko watches in general from you fellas who know about them. Generally, I find myself very attracted to Seiko although I don't know that much about them. Here is the Monster:And here is the info I have on it:Superb Seiko dive watch with a 21 jewel automatic (self-winding) movement, caliber 7S26, day and date display, super-luminous markers wit
I have a 2254.50 and I know that when you wind the crown in position one it is supposed to wind the watch. My question is why it does not cause the watch to start ticking when I do it after the spring has completely dissipated. In order to get it to start after it stops I have to wear it etc. It seems like winding it manually does nothing. Is this normal?
