abought my first IWC watch today, but what did I buy?

Hi I'm a newbie regarding watches, but I bought my first IWC today. 2311985.jpg2311987.jpgIs this watch original? Swiss made, Holmar Automatic, probably (maybe) from around the 1940 or '50'sHolmar_e.jpgIt belonged to my Great Aunt who passed away many years ago.Single jewel so probably nothing spectacular but a pretty little watch.I'm thinking about cleaning it up and giving it to my wife.Needs a clean and lube and a band.I've searched all over the 'net and checked the reference books at the library but can't find any information at all about this company.
