So I am wearing my Grand Seiko automatic today . . . and a question occurs to me.Why does the dial have English words like "Grand" and "Automatic" printed on it? I always understood that these watches are only marketed in Japan (and maybe some other Asian markets?) but never intended to be sold in the USA or Europe. So why do they use English words instead of Japanese words. In fact, why even use English / Latin alphabet unstead of Kanji or Katakana?Anyone have any insight into this?TIA!
One good mystery dial deserves another one...
