I finished this 1918 Elgin Trench Watch yesterday and took the pictures with my new home photo studio box. The first picture was taken under natural light outside in front of my house. The polished nickel shines nice and bright and has that mirror like finish. Pictures 2-5 were taken inside the photo studio box where the light is much softer. In certain angles it looks like the the case sort of has a frosty finish and only small portions have that mirror like finish. I am able to get much closer
I've heard it now from two sources. The Planet Ocean will not be getting the cal. 8500 movement next year. Rather, the exiting 2500 will be upgraded with the silicon balance spring.And the Liquidmetal bezel will be added to the line.My latest source is digging deeper and will update as soon as he learns more.Fr.
