I've been cleaning and polishing the watch and band all morning. Mostly just years of gunk that had to be removed.Once the grime was cleared away, it showed a watch in very good condition. The case is 10K gold and the dial has a cross woven cloth look, in gold as well. The hands are gold, as well as the faceted markers which catch the light and make the watch sparkle. The 760 movement winds freely and has kept "perfect time" for the last 8 hours, though I will have it sent off to the watchmake
Last month I got my first mechanical automatic watch, an Orient and I plan to get a couple more in the comming 12 months. I would LOVE the Orient automatic that has the leather strap and the date at the bottom.. anyways. How often/how expensive are these watches to get serviced (Japan/Asian mechanicals in general) and if you don't wear the watch but have it on a winder do you still need to do it as often (or does it extend the servincing cycle?).Can regular watch places service them?If the answer
