I have heard/read that an automatic watch should be cleaned and serviced every 3-7 years with 5 years being frequently mentioned. Assuming no water or dust has entered the watch is 3-7 years about right? Recently, I purchased a Longines Flagship Automatic dial, it's a solid 18 Kt gold (I'm not favor in gold!!), I attach with this message two pictures shown front and back and hopefully someone will tell me the history of it as well as which movement was originally made for it, I believe it is dated back before 1970 and I'm not sure.
