Hi All,First time post, been reading the forum for weeks.I finally decided I want A Seamaster, black and a 2254 model. But I would rather get it in a mid-size 36.25mm case.Would anyone know the model number or where to find a list of the 2254 models ?Omega's website only has the newer one with the 2500 movement model 212.30.36.20.01.001Also I've heard that the quartz second hand "ticks" and the auto "sweeps" is this true ?Thanks
Got my first vintage watch, a 1940 Hamilton (case is inscribed with a name and 12-25-40). I opened the caseback and there are several etched numbers that I assume are from when watchmakers cleaned the movement over the years. Example: AB121454, I'm guessing was the initials of the watchmaker and the date, ie 12/14/54. But, the other numbers have me stumped. Examples: S17767-,20052-,20545-,21032-,01900B, 24337, F25052, H2RCA. Note the dashes are actually dashes, not illegible numbers.
