I recently purchased a Gruen Veri-Thin rose gold in excellent condition from a friend of mine who owns a jewelery store here in Cincinnati. The watch has the name JJ Longacre , M.D. July 26 1946 engraved on the back. I did some research after purchasing and found that Dr. Longacre was a very well known physician/surgeon who practiced here in Cincinnati and also served as a Army Surgeon during WWII. I also found out that he was married to Margaret Gruen Longacre, the daughter of Frederick Gruen,
