I searched and found a couple of similar threads, but wanted some fresh insight here. I am just two months into this hobby/sport/obsession/disease. The first real solid acquisition I made was a Hamilton Tachymiler. I bought it because it was different from many I had seen, and it was something NEW TO ME. Since then however, I have learned so much and seen so many different watches that my tastes and likes/dislikes have changed/evolved/devolved.I have some emotional ties to this watch because
I was in high school at the time. I repaired electric and some mechanical clocks. This was in Kansas City. I always had a fascination with mechanical objects. Today, after going through the digitals, LED, quartz and so on I wear a selfwinding Seiko. I have several old pocket watches purchased at auctions and a Baylor chronograph wind up (I understand this was made from TAG parts) that I bought in 1970. I will sit back and look at posts and comment if I have anything worth while to add.
