As the proud new owner of a new Sub LV I am aware of how iconic and popular the Sub range is.However it seems that there are as many schools of thought on which one is the "True classic" or "The one to have" as there are Omega special editionsSo I thought I'd see what you guys really thought about thyese watches and which one (lets assume you would have one of them, otherwise you'd not be taking part!) you'd go for and as important...WHY?The non date Sub?The 16610 date Sub?The 16600 Sea Dweller?
I am visiting my mother in Connecticut and she has this Elgin that was my grandfathers. It appears to be original (although the crown might be a replacement), has a heavy radium burn and it runs. The case is a snap back, but I don't want to open it as I don't have my tools with me. Most of my collection is vintage, however I don't know much about Elgins. Any info on this piece would be appreciated.
