The concept of day light saving time and standard time makes sense but I am curious why the change at 2 a.m. Is it because taverns and saloons usually close at 2 a.m.? Does it have something to do with changing the time on a watch and possibly screwing up the date function? Since DST came about close to 100 years ago this seems doubtful but then again?
