Greetings,I'm new to posting on WTF. Have a couple of Omegas, a 16030 bought new in 1987, and some odds an ends.I've been looking at new and used 114270's as a possible daily wear watch but don't feel as though I know too much about years and variations of the different series. I've seen a poster describe a D series as one of the "RRR" rehaut models but haven't seen a photo that shows how that looks. When a watch is cased and timed in the US, but the movement is made in Switzerland .....Where is the watch designed ? .....and is it designed around the movement ?..or is the movement just the way to drive the hands. etc....I figure being timed is just a mechanical technique......the case, dial and movement being the important components of any watch .....and how many of the vintage watches were designed with a special band that went specifically for that watch ..........so my thinking is....if
