One thing I've been wondering for a while is the "nature" of watch face deterioration.When you see vintage watches, even NOS, a lot of the time the face will have paint deterioration, the hands look all tarnished, etc. If you buy a brand new watch today, will the advances in technology mean that in 50 to 100 years the watch (as long as it's kept well, and maybe just mechancially serviced once every 5 years) show the same deterioration?Thanks :)
I am having trouble finding the next watch I want I know the details of what I am looking for, but could use some recommendations please. The only other watch I have is a Steinhart Ocean GMT.
